THE TEN COMMANDMENTS
OF YHVH / Exodus 20:2-17
- I am YHVH your Elohim, who brought you out from the land
of Egypt, from the house of slavery. You shall have no
other gods for yourself before My face.
- You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any image
that is from the heavens above, or that is from beneath
the earth, or that is in the waters from below unto the
earth. You shall not bow [yield] to them, and you shall
not worship [serve] them, for I am YHVH your Elohim; the
Elohim who is jealous, punishing the sin of the fathers
on the children of the third and fourth (generation) of
the ones hating me, but demonstrating kindness [mercy] to
thousands of the ones loving me and keeping [guarding] My
commandments.
- You shall not use to futility the Name of YHVH your
Elohim, for He will not consider anyone innocent who
misuses His Name.
- Remember the Sabbath day, for it is holy to Him. You
shall serve six days and you shall do all of your work,
but the seventh day is the Sabbath unto YHVH your Elohim.
You shall not do any work; you or your sons, or your
daughters, or your servants, or your handmaidens, or your
animals, or the foreigners that are within your gates.
For six days YHVH made the heavens and the earth; the sea
and all in them, but He rested on the seventh day. On
this YHVH blessed the Sabbath day and He made it holy to
Him.
- Honor your father and your mother that your days may be
long in the land that YHVH your Elohim is giving to you.
- You shall not murder.
- You shall not commit adultery.
- You shall not steal.
- You shall not give a false witness against your neighbor.
- You shall not desire the house of your neighbor, nor
shall you desire the wife of your neighbor, nor his male
servant, nor his handmaiden, nor his ox, nor his donkey,
nor anything that belongs to your neighbor.
